| Diane is the artist and the hands behind designing and painting many of the CJKidz products. She began painting products for her own children many years ago. Now that her children have children of their own, Diane continued her artwork for her grandchildren and began getting requests from others who saw her work.
Janet is the writer. She began telling stories to her nieces and nephews over 30 years ago. After years of sharing her stories with her own children, their friends and many other children, she was encouraged to put her stories on paper. She also writes and shares her parenting articles or family friendly ideas on the web site based on her experiences of what she knows or wished she would have known when raising her own children. Many of the CJ KIDZ LLC fictional stories, adventures and products are inspired by the fond memories Diane and Janet have of their own childhood; growing up in a family of five children with parents who taught them the true meaning of family. After the loss of their father in 1987 and sister in 2007, Diane and Janet were reminded how important it is to create family memories that last a lifetime and will remain long after family members are gone. Those memories begin with children, parents, grandparents, and extended family members interacting together and sharing their time. Simply reading stories together, working on a special activity or project together, playing a game, or starting a family tradition are all excellent ways to create those memories. Although Diane and Janet do not consider themselves to be “experts” in parenting, they believe their own experiences and the resources shown on the CJKidz web site may be helpful to parents, grandparents and educators. They also believe that they bring their creative talents (writing and artistry) to life when they are shared or benefit others. The charitable organizations shown on the “Families Giving Back” page have a special place in their heart and represent an opportunity for them and others to “pay it forward”.
